The beach is beautiful and the resort well maintained. The only things to be wary of is: - there is no door between the front door and the toilet so if you don't want people walking in on you showering or going to the loo, remember to put the "Do not disturb" sign on the door - if you are on a package, it will end at noon regardless of when you leave the island (although there is a shower room so you can use the beach and pool until you leave and an air con room to sit in if you get too hot or its raining) - beach music goes on until 2300 so if you want an early night bring ear plugs All that said - I would recommend this resort, largely due to the staff, good food in the a la carte restaurants (tried the buffet for one lunch and that was also good) and good access to the beach from the beach villa/ deluxe beach villa rooms. I would also recommend the nurse shark/stingray trip which costs 319 USD per couple but is worth it (with thanks to Nujoom for being such a great guide). Read Less

Read MoreWhen we decided to go to the Maldives for a week on a scuba liveaboard, I had in mind staying a few extra days in a over the water villa, for what I believe to be a full Maldivian experience. Wasn’t easy to resort choice, cause we wanted to stay a little closer to Male, but not as close. I’m so glad I choose Centara! From arriving to the airport, getting to the hotel, and back to “mainland”, everything was perfect. The over the water villa is phenomenal. We choose a villa with a jacuzzi, and I can say made a huge difference, cause we used almost all day long, mixing up with the ocean right at our door steps. The room is big, the bathroom is big, with all amenities you will need, and a refrigerator always full! Housekeeping on top of everything! The hotel staff is so nice, always smiling and prompt to help. Facilities are nice, and we had a lot of fun at the bars and pools! Breakfast is buffet, and really amazing! Food is delicious, but I wish they would have more international cuisine, as we had in almost all lunch buffets Indian style food, which is not my favorite. For dinner we ended choosing the a la cart menu, because of the same reason just mentioned. (tip: choose the all inclusive package, cause it’s worth it!)! My only complaint, which it wasn’t a big deal for us, is the resort paid activities! While we didn’t do any, we looked around and everything seamed really pricey, specially diving. Overall tho, we loved our stay and had a great time! Read Less
