My husband, my 2 year old son and myself had the most amazing holiday at the resort. Everything was to the highest level - food, beach, accommodation, the service, kids club! It was our first time to Maldives, but after Vakkaru the standards are set so high, that we will probably just be coming back there again and will not risk exploring any other islands. During our stay we met families that come there multiple times and they say that this is the best resort for many reasons (a lot of people mention food). By the pool we would like thank Ahoo, who took such great care of us! At the kids club Nina, was the love of all children! And of course, Pun at the Lagoon Bar went above and beyond to make us feel special, especially our son! And special thank you goes to our butler Hajar who is the kindest and most attentive person! We were traveling Read MoreI always thought the Maldives were a place for honeymooners and couples without kids, however the Vakkaru's exceptional team proved that place is a paradise for families as well. We were traveling with my wife and 7-year-old boy. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with fresh coconuts and a gift made from palm leaves for our child. Our butler, Adu, picked us up and shared the story of Vakkaru while showing us around. He was always two steps ahead and had booked the restaurants in a way that allowed us to experience all of them. We greatly appreciate Adu and everything he did for us during our stay. To get the overall experience, we combined an overwater pool villa and a beach family villa. The overwater villa was luxurious and spacious. It was close enough to the main island for convenience, yet far enough away to provide privacy. We had direct access to the sea, and waking up to the infinity pool and the Indian Ocean view from the bed was breathtaking. The villa was also very close to the Vakkaru blue hole, where we enjoyed the gorgeous reef. The Beach Family Villa was located in a very convenient location for us, close to the kids club (Parrotfish) and the restaurants. The villa is situated in the middle of the jungle, allowing us to see various geckos and small crabs walking around. Both villas were serviced twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. I would like to give a special thanks to Jake for putting everything in order and leaving us a small sweet treat every day. We enjoyed our conversations with him. The Parrotfish Club exceeded our expectations. Our son usually refuses to stay in kid clubs, regardless of where we are. However, the team at Parrotfish went above and beyond to build a connection with him. He said the club was his favourite part of our vacation. They did activities such as making cookies, creating healthy candies, drawing coconuts, making palm leaf art, and much more. We would like to express our gratitude to Aisha, Shif, Robiya, and Inna for taking care of our child and creating such beautiful memories. The Coconut Club is an amazing lounge. We had the opportunity to participate in coffee art and leaf art making during the rainy days. Naja was always there to help and we had wonderful conversations. It felt like we were friends for a long time. The medic is also located in the Coconut Club. I had a minor accident where I cut my leg on a coral, and Maha, the medic, was very kind and careful in assisting me. On Vakkaru, there are several restaurants, all of which are superb, but our favourite was Onu. The food was delicious and the combinations were inspiring. The soft crab salad is a must-try! Azzam paid extra attention to us and made us feel at home. Breakfast was served in Amaany, where you can enjoy both à la carte options and a buffet. Don't miss the fresh cut mango, truffle honey, and homemade coconut yogurt. What we liked the most about Vakkaru Maldives was the friendly atmosphere and the people. We felt like we were part of an extended family. We highly recommend Vakkaru Maldives to families and busy professionals in need of detox and recharging. Tips: - Buy water shoes for the rift/ocean - Visit blue hole that is close to overwater villas (you can see many fishes there) - Visit the spa - Visit leaf art class - Visit Splash (Water sports center) in the night to see nurse sharks and other - You can include tips/gratitude in the bill and pay with credit card at the end of your stay. - There are plenty of water and coffee in the villas Read Less

We really feel like home while being in one of the world’s most exclusive and amazing resort. After having travelled in different places, We can definitely say that Vakkaru's way of treating their guests is the height of luxury.
