As soon as we walked into arrivals at Male we were met by a member of staff and guided at every step of the way until we were dropped off at our room. We stayed in a private pool villa on the sunset beach. We loved the room especially the private pool and sunbeds at the back of our room with sun on the sunbeds in the morning and a second set of sunbeds over-looking the sea with sun in the afternoons. The views of the sunset were magical. The island is beautiful and we were regularly entranced by the fruit bats flying overhead. The staff are so friendly and greet you whenever you pass them. The restaurant staff and bar staff are fantastic, as was our host. We loved snorkelling the reef, it is so easy to access here and the corals are beautiful. We saw amazing sights every time we went out. We had a free upgrade when booking from full board to all- inclusive and really enjoyed the food during our stay, although we noticed that they seem to have a one week menu so we started to see some repetition during our second week. The AI drinks menu was a bit limited (they had a premium AI plan too) but we enjoyed it anyway. Unfortunately the sunset beach has suffered from some erosion, especially towards Surf restaurant. This is being managed by sandbags. Some people might find them unsightly but we found we didn’t actually notice them when looking out at the view. The erosion did mean that it was tricky to get from our deck down to the sea though. Read Less

Beach, reef, food and accommodation was high quality and just perfect. Accessibility of the reef direct from the beach is a massive bonus. The staff are the ones who make the hotel however. Throughout our stay all the staff, from waiters to housekeepers couldn’t do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Such personal service delivered with warmth and genuine joy. During the holiday, my daughter became ill, and it was as if the whole team rallied around to provide food and drinks to help her recovery as quickly as possible. Manager Laurent is a credit to the hotel and runs a well oiled machine with a heart. The only improvement I suggest is to provide guided snorkelling for guests once a day as it would help guests make the most of the reef, especially if they are a little nervous to go on their own. Having a third party dive centre is a limiting factor and a better arrangement is needed. Read Less

The house reef is also beautiful with sharks, turtles and we were lucky enough to spend an hour swimming with dolphins! The rooms are large and modern with enough space for 3 in a room if necessary. The food is varied every night but nevertheless tasty every time! All of the staff are spectacular; kind and always willing to help with any concern - big or small.
