The accommodation and especially the food could not be faulted. Luckily we were upgraded to the Palace from Atoll which are connected by a bridge. The Atoll looked great but the Palace was incredible and definitely worth paying a little more for the additional luxury if within budget. All of the staff were very attentive in all areas of the hotel. A special mention is worthy of Marshall, restaurant manager, and Amindah , bar staff. Overall the hotel is very efficiently run in all departments and would take some beating by other operators in the Maldives. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone contemplating a visit to the Maldives and I would certainly book again in the future. Read Less

Beaches we're kept clean and grounds well maintained. All dining options were good (Steak Restaurant was our favourites) and there was a great choice of dishes on offer at all meal times. Pool areas were well maintained, clean and plenty of sunbeds (but hotel was quiet). 2 RIU hotels at this complex. RIU Palace is quieter and has maybe a few small advantages, but RIU Hotel definitely better for families as it has most of the activities/entertainment. Overwater villas look nice, but they can be a long distance from the pools & restaurants. Read Less

The stay was nearly perfect, the island was beautiful, the room was big and clean, and the food was great, especially for me as a gluten-free person. There is always an option to get gluten-free pasta and gluten-free bread, and there are different types of gluten-free bread available (see photo). To get some gluten-free options you need to ask the stuff and here I want to mention Chef Upul, he was extremely kind and very helpful to me during the whole stay. The only negative is that due to tides, the water sports were only available from 1 to 4 pm and that also overlaps with the lunch time. Read Less
