This is our first big family trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary and birthday; my parents anniversary and my sister’s honeymoon. I chose one and only because this is not very well known hotel from China mainland. We didn’t want to spend time in too much busy place, so I chose to come to here. This is very good choice for me at last! We stayed in water villa and beach villa, our choice is water villa. The view is just like a paradise, and we could have lots of privacy, place is spacious and very nice to go around by bike. Breakfast is fantastic, and some restaurants are also giving very nice dish. We love our Chinese speaking butler Meina, we are very surprised to meet someone can speak Chinese! This is good service for us, everything was very easy and perfect. Meina is always kind, give lots of smile and attention, her Cantonese also good could communicate easily with us. Thank you so much!!!! Commendable really! Would love to say a few beautiful words for the staff i encountered during my stay starting from : 1) my booking agent in reservations (CARLO) - Carlo was extremely hands on and replied promptly to all my emails and got us the best room with the best view possible! Excellent at his work! 2) My personal host (MINA) - Mina was a sweetheart and again had excellent eye to detail and was there at our service all the time and super efficient as well 3) F&B (JAMEEL, BYJU, JOSEPH) - Just WOW. the quality, the hospitality and service these guys provided us with was TOP NOTCH! They are super experienced and always made us feel so warm and special. 4) The Buggy staff as well were super quick and knew us by our names. 5) The staff at the SPA were so skilled (HEPPY) literally relieved all my aches and pains and made me feel like a new person. Also explained the benefits of the massage and suggested what would be ideal for my nerve problems. 6) The dive team was super hands on as well and treated us like royalty in the sandbank experience. 7) Andreas the General manager greeted us almost everyday and specially welcomed us personally and was even there when we departed! 8) The cleaning staff. The level of training is just amazing. Small details like How we kept the umbrella open at the deck(so it would always be kept open as per our preference), my cycle seat no the first day was at a certain height so when we moved rooms the new cycle wass set on the exact same height as per my preference. The luggage was placed exactly where it was in the old rooom as well. Like we were astonished at this level of detail and service.. All in all the service was a solid 100 on 10! The hospitality was warm, personalised, luxurious and made us feel on top of the world. Would totally recommend to anyone travelling to the Maldives to visit OORR!! We've been in the One&Only Reethi Rah before and had mesmerizing moments already, but the true beauty has been revealed to us this time even more. The hotel stands out obviously in many ways, may it be the privacy of the villas, may it be the exquisite and various numbers of restaurants, the variety of activities, the enormous spa and wellness area, or last but not least the island itself which offers tremendous space. Everything is absolute top notch and you might have read it before. But there is one point which stands out and is far above top notch and exceeded even my highest expectations. It's the staff! Everyone from the general manager to the gardener are just so loving towards children. And working myself in a people business since 16 years I can distinguish between real and fake efforts and kindness and here it was so pure, so genuine that it really surprised me in the most positive way. Obviously also we as parents and guests were treated so kind and it was a truly heart warming atmosphere all the time. So if you read this and you are still just in consideration of booking here a villa we can just assure you take the One&Only Reethi Rah it's the best choice you can make and one you'll never regret. The island, beaches, rooms, amenities and food are all outstanding. Everyone at the resort spoils the guests as if we were royalties. Special shout-out: Ubon at the Spa. OMG THE best massage I’ve gotten in my life. Prior to joining the O&O she worked in Brunei in the palace for the king. How lucky am I to have received a massage from someone who worked for emperors!! Sharif a young gentleman on the housekeeping team who was so thorough and humble - he made our room heavenly comfy. Thank you so much! Our hosts Sarah and Hameed were super helpful. Very personalized service. Joseph the Botanica manager kindly offered to treat us off menu dosas if we make it to breakfast lol. We had a lot of fun at the cocktail reception getting to know the GM Andreas and executive chef Paul. Didn’t get to meet the pastry team but all the breads here are delicious. Thanks again for everything!! As this is written we’ve just booked our visit to another One & Only property - can’t wait!! One piece of advice if I may to future guests: you will definitely gain weight here. 😅 consider diet & exercise before the trip so you give yourself margin of safety! Read Less
