The vegetation is now stunning as you can see from the photographs attached and the villas have mostly had new roofs and refurbished. A totally new look and hopefully satisfy those who suggested the resort was looking tired. I would not have said tired at my previous visit as some work had already been done and completed. It is obvious that the resort is having a makeover, and this only enhances it. I would say that the star(s) of the show are the magnificent staff – they are a credit to any resort. The person who complained that there was no dental kit available must be from another planet and I guess complains wherever they visit. I have stayed in several 5* hotels and never once have I seen a dental kit. It is my understanding in witnessing one disgruntled visitor that they were more than likely trying to get something for nothing and if they did not get their way they would publish a bad review as I witnessed one guest saying to a senior member of staff if you do not give me an upgrade ( he had not paid for any upgrade but demanded it i.e. all inclusive when he only had paid for full board) I will post a bad review. Unfortunately, there is nothing the resort can do about this. I am presently looking to visit this charming resort sometime next year. Highly recommended John Read Less

I have read a few bad reviews and frankly I do not believe them as my experience is the exact opposite. It is my belief that those who have posted “bad reviews” were trying to obtain something they were not entitled to; as an example they were on full board and that is what they had paid for, that does not include drinks but they insisted it does when all the literature states a drink package is available at an extra cost. They demanded they got the extra otherwise they would post a bad review. I witnessed one occasion when a guest who clearly had more than his fair share of drink was refused another drink by the staff and was heard shouting if you don’t give me another drink I will write a bad review and the same person then wished to fight the staff and it is that person whom I believe stated he saw the staff fighting. Please make your own mind up The staff at this resort are amazing and go out of their way to make your stay memorable and the same goes for the management team The resort may not be 5 stars but the staff more than make up, for this and it is a testament to that, we keep coming back and health willing we hope to be back sometime next year Thanks to all for our wonderful stay Read Less

If you’ve read a bad review please ignore - I’ve researched some of these and there is a common theme- these visitors were trying to get something they were not entitled to ie paid for full board Read MoreIf you’ve read a bad review please ignore - I’ve researched some of these and there is a common theme- these visitors were trying to get something they were not entitled to ie paid for full board but expected all drinks etc to be included which of course it does not- there is an additional charge for the drinks package - they then tried to blackmail the staff saying if you don’t give me what I want I will give you a bad review- I know this to be true as I witnessed this at first hand You could not find a more friendly and helpful staff - there is a good selection of food from the buffet If you want a recommendation “we’ve been going here for 12 years apart from Covid - think that says it We look forward to our next visit later this year Read Less

I booked a beach villa and it was really nice, we had a small opening in the trees in Read MoreJust got back from the Maldives this week (stayed at the Medhufushi Island Resort for 9 nights - all inclusive). I booked a beach villa and it was really nice, we had a small opening in the trees in front to enter the sea. Very nice sea with snorkeling options… the room was big and the AC did it’s job to keep it cool. It was cleaned (spotless) and the minibar was refilled every day. The person responsible for this was Mr Raja - a very kind man and always with a smile on their face. I chose this resort for the snorkeling trips that were available everyday for free and I was not disappointed. I went out to sea everyday with my kid and enjoyed every moment of it. We went shark watch, dolphin watch, line fishing and snorkeling. The crew on the boat (I think the captain’s name is Salman) were so helpful and nice to us. Also the guide (I don’t know for sure what his job is) mr Mashek was amazing. He guided me and my son through the reefs and helped us throughout all of the trips. I would come back to this resort just for the trips with Mr Mashek and Mr Salman. The food was mostly not to our taste but the servers in the restaurant were nice. We had Mr Sajjat take care of our table (always refilling our drinks and making sure we were ok) and Mr Agung always entertaining my boy and making small talk making us feel like home. At reception we found 2 nice people also, Mrs Shubha and Mr Assem they helped me with booking my flight back, and reserving trips. Very helpful and professional! It’s not a luxury resort but it’s clean and modest with enough options for active kids. Also I saw they have some honeymoon options :) Pro: - Overall clean resort - snorkeling trips with Mr Mashek - Clean spacious room - A lot of fish and nice reef in the water in front of the beach villa - every night they were feeding the fish near the bar and small black tip sharks and stingrays would come. Con: - Most of the food was really spicy, few options to choose from - Mosquitoes were present even though they did treatment against them every day Not related to the resort, we chose seaplane to get there and the last plane came at 15:15 but our departure was at 23:00LT from Male. We booked a city tour from the airport and it was a really good choice. Read Less
