At the arrival they were playing drums and gave us a warm welcome. After the first Drink we received at the reception we were brought to our beach bungalow in the platinum island. It‘s a wonderfull bungalow where you can walk in about 10 metres to the ocean and snorkle around the island. The staff is always nice and they will make you feel very comfortable. Our housekeeper called „Siraj“ is one of the nicest guys we met. We talked about the islands and he gave us some hints where to find nice collored fishes on our snorkeling trips and told us a lot about the history of the hotel and the islands. He comes from a neighboring Island and always was very nice and courteous. He also told us, that the Managers from the hotel are organizing clean up projects for local islands to help the people arround the Atoll. On our island they only used glass instead of plastic bottles and had paper straws. We two times made a dolphin safari, but sadly couldn‘t find one. The captain on the boat remembered us the second time and drove an extra long time just for us to get a bigger chance on seeing some. The Buffet was great and delicious. Every afternoon there were special dishes and a sort of livecoocking. Between Breakfast and Lunch and also between Lunch and Dinner you could get some sandwiches and cake. The whole restaurant Team is very friendly and fast. We also had two massages in the spa on the main island from „Risma“ and „Septi“. Both massages lastet for 60 minutes and we enjoyed it a lot! The free snorkeling trips will take place two times a day and the staff will take you to two reefs where you can see beautiful fishes and corals. Our last trip was the shark watching, where they will feed the sharks. That was really impressive and you have a 100% chance to see those sharks. We are so glad we had an beach bungalow, so we could relax on the beach, feel the sand on our toes and go in the water, whenever we wanted to. Every beach bungalow also has a water hose outside, so when you come back from the ist water or the sand you can shower yourself before entering the terrace or the lay on your own beach lounger. The beaches are always clean and everyone has done there best to make this one of the most beautiful holidays in our life! Thank you for having us and we hope to visit you again! Read Less

Everyone was so attentive and accommodating, our every wish was fulfilled. We had a water villa for the entire stay and would take it again anytime. Due to the direct location on the sea, there is at least a bit of wind, so it is super bearable in the hot and humid temperatures. Also, you can dive right into the water and snorkel wonderfully, so we even saw thousands of fish, corals, rays and even a turtle right in front of our villa. Our room boy Fayyaaz made sure our room was always clean and tidy with his fun and entertaining ways. He prepared little surprises for us and was always in a good mood and very friendly. All in all, professional! The food is super varied, a huge choice and everything very fresh and always hot. We were able to enjoy the food all the time, front row right on the beach overlooking the sea and our waiter Saleem who served us during our stay was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. We had not yet been seated when he already brought us our drinks and always asked how we were and if we were satisfied. In the Mandura Spa, we were able to enjoy various massages and here, too, no wishes were left unfulfilled. A beautifully designed spa and everyone here was so friendly and helpful. Many thanks to Purnama, Ari and Risma! Thanks to winning and winning the Crab Race, we were able to enjoy a beautiful candlelight dinner on the beach and then feed the leftover bread to all the crabs on the beach. We were welcomed with drummers and a hand made garland, staff lined up to welcome us. Taken to the reception were you are given a fresh up towel, drink and filled in any necessary paperwork, all very quick. Then off on the buggy to our accommodation room 405 Private Island. The room was spotless, and a lovely welcome back bed decoration. Complimentary bottle of wine and fruit basket in the room. The room was kept immaculately clean all week by Siraj mini fridge filled, bed turned back, fresh towels and other bathroom accessories when required. The bed art for my birthday and our anniversary were truly amazing. The beach outside our accommodation was spotless, raked daily and two sun loungers, covers, parasol, the day bed was great to sit and watch the sunsets. Stone throw away to the sea. The island has its own pool, very quiet and tranquil, easy to get a nice refreshing drink and snacks. The restaurant was set out lovely, the food was totally amazing, the chefs are very talented, very friendly, the waiting on staff also ensured you had everything needed, drinks and loved a chat. There were themed nights and they catered for all requests. We visited the spa on several occasions, we we’re definitely not disappointed, we had fabulous massages, facial and the hot stones was very relaxing. We went on the shark trip, and this time even more special as we were allowed to feed them. We had a birthday meal on the beach at the crab restaurant and also for our 40th Anniversary a meal at the hill top restaurant, the food is awesome and delicious. We were given a cake on both occasions. We used the laundry service excellent value for money no washing on return home. The small shop has lots of little souvenirs and some essential items if you run out. All the staff are truly amazing and can’t do enough for you. All the staff go over and above for the guests and do everything they possible can to make the experience as good as it possible can be. The buffet choices are great with enough plenty of variety and a different theme station every night. The crab restaurant a la carte was delicious. The hotel excursions are excellent, we particularly enjoyed the shark feeding. We would love to come back to this island one day.
