Patina Maldives, Fari Islands has announced the appointment of Faraaz Tanveer as Director of Spa and Wellness, Faraaz brings with him a distinguished track record of success in luxury hospitality and wellness across Asia and the Middle East.

With over 20 years of experience in spa and wellness management, Faraaz brings a strong track record across leading global brands including AMAN, Four Seasons, ila Spa, Minor Hotels, and Landmark Group. He joins Patina Maldives from Janu Tokyo, where he has served as Director of Wellness since November 2024, during which time the property debuted at #37 on the World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 list and was featured in Vogue’s Global Spa Guide: 100 Best Spas in the World.

Prior to this, Tanveer spent nearly six years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, most recently as Senior Director of Spa for the Japan Collection, overseeing multi-property wellness strategy. At Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi, he launched signature programs including “Moving into Stillness” meditation and a Sleep Wellness program, with the spa recognized among Tokyo’s top five by The New York Times Style Magazine in 2022. Earlier, at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan, he achieved 32% year-over-year revenue growth and created the award-winning “Guided by Gratitude” retreat, earning him “Best Spa Director/Manager in Asia” at the Hall of Wellness Awards 2020.

Notably he also served as Wellness Director for RAAS properties in India, where the ila-only spa at RAAS Devigarh was named among the world’s best by Condé Nast Traveler, and his “Devi Blessings Journeys” program received the publication’s “Most Transformative Program” award.

A certified Yoga and Qi Gong instructor with training in various healing modalities and meditation techniques, Tanveer holds an MBA in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. Celebrated for his holistic approach integrating ancient wisdom and contemporary science, Tanveer will lead Patina Maldives into its next era of wellness innovation.
