Visit Maldives has appointed British-Spanish actor Taz Skylar, star of Netflix’s record-breaking One Piece live-action series, as the latest Global Ambassador for the destination’s international marketing efforts.

Skylar, who portrays Sanji in the popular anime adaptation, will leverage his significant global influence to showcase the Maldives’ stunning natural beauty, unique adventures, rich cultural heritage, and commitment to sustainable tourism. The appointment comes on the heels of One Piece‘s remarkable global success, which saw the series become the most-watched show in 84 countries, surpassing previous records set by hit series like Wednesday and Stranger Things.
